Grey - in all it's many shades and tones - is most definitely the new black. In interior design world, anyway.
It can look both dramatic and subtle, contemporary and classic, masculine and feminine.

Here are a few interiors that 'do' greys beautifully... 

Absolutely love the raw timber side table/flower pedestal, and that couch is beautiful in the soft grey. 
(We could envisage a Lujo ottoman in light taupe in this space.)

This granite/marble-style grey feature wall is inspired. Lots of white furniture and features keep it from looking too dirty or dark. And how great is that huge statement light?

Here, grey (from the painted cabinet) is used just as an accent colour. But it matches in so well with the steely grey of those metal industrial pendants, and complements the pale timber floors and tabletop beautifully.

Grey bedding is so restful and chic. Accessorise with black and white pillows and throws, or add a pop of colour - virtually every bright shade looks great against grey.

Soft pink and grey together is a very on-trend colour palette. This lounge scene is rather dreamy...
(We're not so sure about the pink ottoman though - it doesn't look too functional!)

This slate grey wall is gorgeous! We love how the white shelving and cabinetry looks so clean and dramatic in contrast. (The grey plateware is also to die for!)

Perhaps the ultimate 'grey' feature - polished concrete floors! Antique and uber-modern pieces play very nicely together in this space.

Monochrome doesn't have to mean boring! Here, the home owner has created a super modern, funky look using pattern and texture rather than different colours. Love those white wooden floors, too!
