Ah, we love the slower pace and balmy days of summer. We built a business on it! Imagine spending long weekends in one of these dream homes, each one cleverly designed to embrace the sun...
Cooking would never be a chore in this light-filled, open-plan kitchen and dining area. We love the simple, bright colour palette too - sun-bleached timber flooring, white walls, white designer lighting... it's all beautiful.
This converted early-1900's villa (in Auckland, New Zealand) is a total stunner. The entire back of the home has been completely opened up to flood the interior with sun. A set of our designer outdoor beanbag chairs would be gorgeous here - maybe in our new sage green colour.
The owners of this Victorian terrace turned to architects to help them re-design it into a contemporary home. Part of the renovation was creating this central courtyard, onto which two separate spaces (the kitchen dining area and the lounge) each open from massive bi-fold doors. Talk about bringing the outside in!
This beachfront babe, located on South Africa's west coast, was designed to maximise the breathtaking views from every part of the house. Look at the outlook from that dining table! Imagine how fabulous food would taste with a vista like that.
We think one of the best investments you can make in your home is to open it up to the sun. Loving the simple, super modern style of this home, where the deck and dining area effectively become one.
This home is made for entertaining - with a complete outdoor kitchen, and different zones for dining and lounging. Loving the pops of modern black - especially those black designer outdoor chairs!
This coastal home in Australia's NSW celebrates both European and Japanese design. We love it's zen-like open pavilions. And... check out the bathroom!
Now that's a space that loves the sun!
